En revanche, les règles Élite (Elite) et Vicieux (Vicious) s'appliquent bien à TOUTES les attaques, y comprit les sorts et autres attaques supplémentaires données par les artefacts.

mattjgilbert a écrit :No. The special rules should have been written clearer to show what has the piercing. Crossbows would give a unit P1 for example. They (the unit) don't intrinsically have it themselves, thus it can't "transfer". Something like elite or vicious would though.
Iedas a écrit :A question about special rules, do units keep they special rules when using artifacts?
Let's keep in mind this artifact:
Diadem of Dragon-kind. Which grants Breath Attack(10) for 30 pts.
1) Elven Spearmens with it. Do they maintain the Elite special rule por this breath attack? Do they impact at 4+ and reroll 1s?
2)Ogre shooters regiment, they have reload! and piercing(2). With the artifact do they hace a Breath Attack (10) with piercing(2) and reload!?
Piercing rule stays: All ranged hits inflicted by the unit[...], so it may apply. I think that these rules should apply only to the weapon, like Heavy Crossbows(piercing(2), reload) but, who knows.
mattjgilbert a écrit :Actually the Breath Attack is a separate attack and doesn't get the piercing.
If something has Reload! or Piercing already, it'll be for the ranged attack they already have. A different ranged attack added by a magic artefact would not be affected (unless it too had the reload rule).
So really, the Elven Master should have (Bow: Piercing(1)), other things... to make it clear the Piercing is for the bow, not in general.
Elite would cover any ranged attack the unit made.
